Small Storm

We had very strong winds and lots of rain last night. The strong wind caused the electricity to go out and it knocked some rows of our sweetcorn over! We hope the raccoons don't get any of the corn this year!

We had a bad storm too - maybe it was the same system! Sorry to see your corn all laying down sideways, but perhaps you can still have some to harvest!

Hi there! So glad to meet you and find your nice blog! Sorry to see your corn all droopy. I hope that it has begun to stand back up by now. We are in Missouri and it seems every few days those strong winds have been coming through. I had to re-stake my tomatoes to stronger fence posts. Love your blog, and I've already seen some nifty ideas... i.e., your tipsy buckets! Just awesome :) -Tammy

Hi! Found you thru Nancy @ Bluff Country. Welcome to Bloglandia. I lost most of my corn to a storm about a month ago. My little garden is only about a half acre. But I stay so busy that it's run over with grass and weeds. Usually by this time of year I just give up. LOL Still getting some green beans, watermelons, and butternut squash though. See ya around!

Sorry to hear about the storm. We are using an electric fence to try and keep raccoons out of our sweet corn.

Thanks for visiting my blog. I'd love to munch on some of that corn.
