Hello! This is our first time using a blog! We decided to do it about our family farm!
We have two huge gardens... we plant beans, peas, beets, radishes, onions, carrots, lettuce, dill, watermelon, pumpkins, and gourds. We plant two varieties of sweetcorn, popcorn, and ornamental corn. We have raspberries and strawberries. We are big on tomatoes and peppers because we can salsa and spaghetti sauces. Cucumbers for dill pickles and bread and butter pickles. Throughout this blog we will try to give gardening tips and advise. Oh, we have huge flower gardens!!
Our gardens are 100% chemical free, we do not use pesticides. We only use manure from our animals for fertilizer.
We raise chickens for eggs and meat! Right now we have 15 laying hens and 15 little ones that will lay next year. We have 30 white broiler meat chickens that we butcher, by ourselves! We have two billy goats, as pets. Butch is a Boer Pygmy goat. Duke is a Pygmy goat. We have three bunnies, Snickers, Molly, and Skipper. Our good old guard dog Ted is a yellow lab. We will blog pictures and advice about raising these animals.
Hope you enjoy our blogging!

Hi! I'm a new follower (found your blog on Cozy Little House). I'm looking forward to seeing more of your animals and great vegatable garden. I have always wanted to learn how to can and am slowly learning more and more. Maybe I can pick up some tips : ) I believe the best food is sourced locally and you can't get more local than the back yard!
